Lead Role – Will Ferrell

Synopsis – Will Ferrel – Ron Burgundy is the lead anchorman, news presenter for the leading news channel in the ‘70’s. He and his very stupid colleagues are very stupid, but very popular in America. Everything is all good until an aspiring news presenter, who is extremely hot, enters the male dominated scene. As the film progresses, they enter and exit a crazy relationship and she makes her way up the news presenting ladder, from cat cat walks to panda births..... – Promoting feminism too - making her the biggest anchorwoman of all presenters, including men, while Ron has a breakdown and loses everything. Including his very cool dog, Baxter. In the end, his dog manages to return to him, as well as his sanity and he recovers from his mid life and returns to news presenting ,with an awe-inspiring climax he manages to get back with his blonde counterpart and they manage to film the panda birth, it is a very HILARIOUS film.

Will Ferrell is presented as an over-confident, idiotic, childish, successful presenter. He plays the part convincingly well too.

The plot is very simple, self explanatory and easy to follow. He does the majority of the speaking, helping to progress the story line.
